NAVISTAR PICKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well interesting enough I can't select Amanda Blumenherst this week because she didn't get in the Tournament after placing T5 at the CVS. I thought if you placed top 10 you automatically were in for next week. AHHH but alas this is the LPGA land where good golf is not what gets rewarded. You see Dorothy Delasin go in and Jeehae Lee got in and they both have double digit handicaps (lee May be a 9). What idiot is allowing this to happen? It's common sense and even as an acting commissioner you would have to be a total bozo not to see how utterly stupid this is.

So I can't pick Shin, Petterson is hurting, no Blumenherest. Ok Shortish course in the south comfortable weather. I'm picking Ochoa to win and Yani Tseng to take second. I'm also predicting that 19 yr. old Alexis Thompson just crushed Delasin, Jeehae Lee and Leah Wigger none of these "PROFESSIONAL GOLFERS" will be withing 5 shots of her after 36 holes.

How The CVS will finish up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Based on what has happened thus far on the LPGA tour this is how the events will unfold today at the CVS. Lorena Ochoa will run away with this but not because she played well but because Sophie Gustafson will play poorly. Sun Young Yoo is the biggest threat to Ochoa and she is 6 shots away. Maria Hjorth has not put four rounds together yet this yeas so she and Leta Lindley are both going over par today. Now Moragn, CK and Vicki Hurst, I expect to play well and post a decent score to be solidly in the top ten. Paula Creamer will start to go low but as soon as the pressure starts to build she will fold like a pup tent which has been her MO all year.

LPGA GOLFERS Help me out here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So if your a Professional, Golfer more specifically, a female professional golfer is there really no competition between players. Because, I have to tell you, that there is not a sport weather it be golf' or tennis' or basketball' where if I was a professional I would allow a 13 year old amateur to beat me. It's unthinkable to me that a little girl who goes to junior high school all day and practices a little in evening after school could beat me if this were my livelihood.

I would certainly take offense if I was one of the 24 "Professional Golfers" who accept sponsorship money for clothes and bags and have their clubs tweaked regularly to their exact specs and just got beat, some you, crushed by a 13 year old girl who plays for fun.

This never happens on the men's tour the amateurs who do get to play have proven they are capable by winning a national events etc. Not 13 year olds who haven't
done anything but be little girls.

It's getting out of hand when Pro Golfers who are supposed to the horses that carry the LPGA can't even beat a bunch of part time golfers to get into arguably the biggest tournament in the world the US Open. Natalie Gulbis was angry that she had to play the qualifier to get in. even crying. but the fact is she was not good enough neither was Michelle Wie that week. IF GOLF IS "WHAT YOU DO" and essentially"Who you are" how are you not able to beat part time players ona familiar layout you have practiced on?

I for one think there way to many poor players on the LPGA tour. Look at Dorothy Delasin she is carrying about a 10 handicap! Jeehae lee is around a 8 or nine and the same for Michelle Mcgann but week after week there they are in tournament after tournament stealing spots from much better golfers. This is no way to improve your tour. Having the top 30 get in exempt from qualifying is a good way to go and making the rest of the field qualify on the same course will insure a much high quality of golf.

Women Golfers, A Mans Perspective

I'm going to try and broach a touchy subject but try to do it with some amount of class. I really do enjoy the LPGA and it contains some of the very best and most fundamental golf swings and fiercest competitors in golf. I like it more than the PGA Tour for the simple fact that there is more of an even playing field.

From a mans point of view and a sub 2 handicap the view of Country Club women golfers changes. Does anyone out there have any women golfers out there that can really play? I don't mean hit it decent a majority of the time I mean really play!

Here is the thing there are lots of women at most clubs who love golf and have real potential to be able to play the game with a fair amount of competence. The reason they don't I believe is they don't practice. When 18 and 22 handicaps win the club championship why do they need to. Do you ever see a woman on the range by herself or out playing a quick nine and hitting multiple balls to the green from 150 yard and in? It's social for women more so then men. Having the nicest outfit to golf in takes priority over being able to chip or putt. I'm not saying this is right or wrong only that it's more like putt putt to women but with expensive clothes and equipment. The once a week foursome is just fine and any other trips to the club are for dinner or drinks.

Men on the other hand are forced to improve to gain respect within the membership. They don't just hope they play well they work on it to insure they do. They stop on the way home and hit a bucket of balls or go to the driving range between meetings.

Men playing golf with women is almost always a bad thing. As a man you will find that women will play golf for years and still never understand it. They enjoy being out side and the cart and the sun and the food and the friendship and maybe if you find a really special one, the golf. It's quite obvious to me that men and women were not supposed to golf together. They use different tee's, different smaller equipment, even the balls for the women are different.

Here are my experiences golfing with women. You are waiting to tee off on the first tee. I mean really waiting because your buddy Joe is ahead of you and brought his wife to play and if she hits a ball in the air(after being a member for nine year) it's the highlight of her round. so finally she has hit six shots and is far enough down the fairway you can hit. So you hit then you get in the cart but the lady your playing with is talking to the lady waiting to tee off about cookies for the fundraiser at the school. Finally you get her in the cart and drive to the ladies tee. She gets out and says wow I better stretch a little and proceeds to go through a mini yoga adventure. Now half a dozen practice swings and she is ready but opps forgot a tee. You give her a tee and she tee's it up and steps back and eyes it down. Three more practice swings and she finally addresses the ball. She takes her robotic like swing and tops it and it rolls about 85 yards. She acts like she has no idea what happened and proceeds to put her club in her bag and get into the cart(smiling like this is the best day of her life) so you can drive the 85 yards to her ball and do it all over again less the stretching. Now ask yourself ladies why would any man on the planet want to put himself through that for 6 plus hours when he plays around with three other men in 3 1/2 to four hours. That means there is 2 to 2 1/2 hours of talking about nonsense, practice swinging and dis-ownership of poor shots in a typical female-male round of two players.

Now ladies on a positive note I do enjoy an early evening care free round when the course isn't busy at all. Just playing and talking and enjoying just being with an intelligent and funny lady who has something to offer on the issues of the day. I do however wish that if women want to golf that they really golf and try to improve. There is a reason they have PAR and the challenge of golf is getting to PAR or the journey of getting there. Improving is the basis of golf and the reason it's such a gigantic business today. Improving is the very best part of golf for everyone.

Kerr, Wie,Miyazato, ALL ABSENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't say the CVS is sporting a week field this week but is not near as strong as they had hoped. The were originally billing it as having the top nine on the money list but that has since fallen by the wayside.

Why do you think the Asian players play almost every single event and don't seem to tire and get burned out like the American players do? My theory is that being an American and playing in America wreaks havoc on your game and your life. The Tour wants your time the fans want your time and the sponsors want your time not to mention the in thing for pro golfers now days is to have your own benefit tourney which requires a tremendous amount of work.

The foriegn born players have far less demands on their time and are able to enjoy the tour and concentrate on golf with little interference from outside. I think this factor alone is a huge reason that the Asians fair so well here.

My picks the last two weeks have really been off. I try to select the people who are playing well and three weeks ago I nailed it but the last two have been terrible.

So with that in mind and the short course 6,200+ i have to go with the precision players who are lighting it up pretty much week in and week out. This week I'm picking for this weeks CVS:

J. Shin to win

M. Pressel runner up ( AI Miyazato is not playing this even so switched to my favorite on 09/23/09)

Watch out for Michelle Wie this week and Morgan will tear this course up also not to mention it's time for CK to be in the mix again (seems like every four or five weeks)

LPGA exploiting T&A or favoritism with choice!!!!!!!!

The LPGA named it’s team for the Wendy’s Three Tour Challenge! Christie Kerr and Suzann Petersen are great choices but Natalie Gulbis, not so much. As far as I know you don’t have to wear Bikini’s to play in it but apparently the LPGA still wants to exploit the T&A factor with this selection. We can all name 30 to 40 golfers who are far more deserving and more representative of the tours make up. So you have the top American in Kerr and the top European in Pettersen and a player who wasn’t even good enough to qualify for the US. Open or the Samsung in Gulbis.

I’m know genius but if the best players on my tour were predominantly Asian I would have selected one for this event. There are so many Asian players who are deserving and much better players or even the worlds number one ranked player would be a decent choice since the LPGA is refusing to select and Asian player. To select Natalie Gulbis who has never won in the US. and only been in contention once all year and fell apart is obvious is just a choice made without thinking.

If you want your tour to be taken seriously and you want people to give it the respect you desire then you have to forget about what a golfer looks like in her attire and think about how she play’s. I know Natalie is brainwashed in LPGA positive speak and is loved by men everywhere the choice stinks of favoritism and I hate to say it racism!!!!!

To be fair I just got a return tweet as well as an email from the LPGA saying that "they do not choose the players for the Wendy's Three Tour Challenge" Well they may infact not choose the teams but you can not tell me that the LPGA Tour has no input on who represents them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LPGA Asian Invasion is thing of beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's face it LPGA fans we are in the midst of an unprecedented and wonderful transformation in our beloved tour. I know your all saying "wonderful?" Well please hear me out. Here are a few reasons that the Asian influx has and will help the LPGA tour.

1. They play a more fundamental type of golf (as Opposed to Laura Davies)and will force any of the players who seriously want to compete to get better thereby enhancing the quality of golf.

2. They have no fear of contending, unlike our American women who just falter week after week when in contention. Which will force the other players to learn how to play while leading or in contention.

3. Non-Asian players should watch and emulate the short games of many of the Asian players because they are not SPIN DEPENDENT and with the new equipment rules governing grooves I predict you will see even a larger Asian dominance on the LPGA Tour of the next couple years until the other players adapt.

4.The Asian golf arena is gigantic and progressive always improving in every area not just equipment as happens here in America. Asian golf fashion is the trend setter now and being incorporated in to the LPGA bit by bit.

6. American Companies are no longer competitive in the areas of IT Tech and electronics as well as global investment and the worlds leading companies( Toshiba, Samsung, HSBC, Ricoh etc.) are now Asian and will soon be the leading sponsors for a majority of LPGA events especially the premier events with the largest purses and best fields.

Finally you have to admit, those Asian ladies can play, with their amazing smiles, wonderful stories, respect for the game and fellow players and love for their families and countries. While we as Americans love to see our women play well and win! Let's all open our eyes and appreciate what this Asian Invasion has and will do for the LPGA tour and give these amazing athletes from Asia all the respect as well as accolades they deserve after all and for the next few years it's their tour and we have the privilege to enjoy it and them.
So if your an LPGA fan try selecting one of the Asian players to follow along with you favorites and research her, find out what her story is and I have no doubt your respect and admiration will cause you to see the Asian Invasion as a wonderful thing for the future of the LPGA.

The LPGA Samsung at the halfway mark!!!!!!

When you have the top twenty players in a tournament with no cut, wouldn't you think they would want it to be a real test of golf. I mean if one of the leaders goes low again today there is a possibility of looking 18-20 under right in the face. Everyone knows these women can play well on easy courses but please don't mislead everyone and say the course is long(6700 yds) and tough when the rough is short and the course is way shorter than your advertising. I mean these are the 20 best women players this season, how about showing us real golf not patty cake golf.

So the Samsung tournament is at the half way point. My Suzann and Angela predictions seem to be way off although there are still two rounds left and if it gets windy anything can happen. I do find it very interesting that the Golf Channel has added about 400 yards to what the actual playing distance is. I assume they do that make it seem like the women are hitting the ball like men. I was speaking with Dave Simmons yesterday who was at the tournament and he was telling me that the course is short but and the par 3 are longish for the LPGA but the pins have been easy. He seems to think 15 under is the number and they had better get to that or close today because there wind will pick up by Sunday and if so scores will be higher.

Everyone likes Paula Creamer (fan wise anyway) and she wears her heart on her sleeve when is is playing. She is defending this week but I'm sure you have all noticed that Paula falls apart in contention this year. She just can play well being at or near the top of the leader board anymore. She can play her way into the top ten every week but she can't play in the lead or a shot or to off the lead. She can get there but only briefly. Just something mental about being in real contention keeps her from closing the door.

Golf Channel changing name to TW Channel!!!!!!!!!

Is it possible than I'm the only golf fan on the face of the earth who is tired of turning to the Golf Channel and hearing about what Tiger Woods ate for breakfast that day or lunch or dinner for that matter? WE GET IT!! He is the number one golfer in the world and had been for years. Everyone knows it!!!!!!! Why not cut your full length features down to one per day. You fill your days with paid programming about golf gadgets that are just rip offs but believe it or not there are other great golfers out there. Your producers must have the biggest MAN CRUSH ever on Tiger but that's ok just please don't let that interrupt the mission you started out to achieve. We love to watch and here about Tiger too just not all day, every day! Why for instance do we only get 2 hours of the LPGA Samsung but four hours a day of the MEDICUS DRIVER and the GOLF BUDDY! Everyone needs to let the Golf Channel know they need to broaden their coverage of GOLF! Maybel cover the top ten players on the major tours rather than the top player on one tour. I recommend a sister channel that actually covers golf while changing the name of the Golf Channel to the Tiger Woods 24 hour coverage network.

LPGA & Rolex it's about time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The people at Rolex finally realized what time it is. For many years Rolex has been involved in the LPGA but not as a title sponsor and I am excited for the LPGA. Rolex is a perfect fit and if you ask me. Everything Rolex does just ooozes quality and I'm sure the LPGA Tour Championship has found a life long sponsor. Not to mention they will be holding the event at the Houstonian Golf & Country Club and I hope they consider making it an annual event there. It's a fabulous golf course! I have only had the opportunity to play there once but it's scenic and approximately 7,000 yards with a multitude of tee's so they will be able to set it up perfect under any conditions. The one thing I remember is it's completely devoid of condo's or houses and ideal for this kind of tournament. Another great reason is Houston is in my humble opinion one of the nicest cities that we here in America have to offer. Great airports, great food, great shopping and a great golf town. So CONGRATULATIONS to the LPGA for being able to secure a great sponsor like Rolex.

lpga Pick's for the Samsung

It's Samsung week and although I don't agree with the twenty players in the field, my picks certainly deserve to be there. First place this week will go to Tutta, She is playing great golf, she had a week of although it didn't sound like she got a lot of rest, She is the one person who could dominate the tour for years. Second Place this week will be Angela Stanford. I know it would be nice if she could nail this one down but I just can't see anyone beating Suzann this week matter of fact I'm going to predict a 6 shot victory.

Winner Suzann Pettersen

Runner up Angela Stanford

let me congratulate you both in advance!!!!!!

I know ladies it's a very sad week for you. Patrick Swazye passed away and he was in both your all time favorite movies. I liked him in Roadhouse myself. He was a fighter though and being in the medical profession I am amazed he lived for 10 more months than anyone would have expected with pancreatic cancer which is the very worst type to have. I'm sure you will all get to see Dirty Dancing, Ghost, and the Outsiders this week to pay tribute.

Stephanie Wei makes Paris Hilton look like a nun

Is Stephanie Wei the biggest liar on planet Earth? After a recent trip to NYC I have to say this is true. You see the little lies are obvious. Steph claiming to be a 0.9 handicap or at this moment a 5 from the men's tee's. We all know and can prove she has never been even remotely close to either of these in her life. The big lies however like this one "I had brief fling with Heath Ledger" or "I have no idea what social climbing is" are so outrageous that one can only compare her to Paris Hilton although even that's not fair as Paris Hilton appears to have way less sex and with far fewer people than Stephanie Wei does. Then there is the fact that if your not famous or have the ability to introduce Ms. Wei to somebody famous she wants nothing to do with you. There is a very long list of people in Manhattan who have first hand knowledge of the Stephanie Wei bed hopping, social climbing, story telling, attempt to be somebody when all she really is a liar who is supported by her mother and lives in the loft purchased for her mommy and uses the rent she charges her roommate to live on. She is classless and for New Yorkers in the social circle she tries to inhabit, a true wannabe. See for yourself http://www.observer.com/2008/fore-birdie-beatrice-inn

PETER JACOBSEN for LPGA COMMISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been thinking and thinking about who I believe would be the best selection for LPGA commissioner. I have looked at many attractive candidates but only one stood our as clear cut tour commissioner material. PETER JACOBSEN is perfect! A 30 year PGA tour member! Very involved in the business of golf and if you have ever met him you were left with the feeling that "there is a man who makes the world a better place". I'm not sure if he would be interested or even consider the position but it certainly would not hurt to ask him!

Morgan Pressel is pure class!

I was certainly way off on my picks this week but it was a great tournament. We saw some great golf down the stretch by Angela Stanford and Jiya Shin is making this tour hers.

I noticed during the playoff that Morgan P. was driving Angela's mother around to make it possible to see the action on the second playoff hole. I also noticed that she was the first one out there spraying Champagne on Jiya. Now, tell me this girl is not one of the classiest if not THE classiest player on the LPGA tour. She play's to win every single week and when it's over win or lose she is a great friend to all. The true embodiment of what golf/life should be, and we, meaning all of us, could learn a bit about class from this amazing 21 year old.

Irene Cho's slight and other LPGA Notes

I was in the clubhouse yesterday watching the LPGA's P&G and Irene Cho hit a terrible slice on 18 that hit the cart path and took off towards a hospitality tent. Due to poor Golf Channel Coverage (she was leading at the time) I didn't get to see her hit out of trouble. What I did get to see was the normally pleasant and always well mannered Cho bogey the hole. Despite her bogey the crowd of PAYING FANS cheered her bogey!!!! Cho being a bit miffed at her bogey failed to acknowledge the crowd and proceeded with the ritual of hugs for players and caddies etc. Now first let me say that Irene Cho is great with the crowds and fans in general. So I thought well I will giver her a pass after all she was leading and got a tough break etc. Then later in the day I got to thinking about it. In a time when the LPGA is struggling to fill it's schedule for next year and a rough economy I think it was a bad move. The players know the fans drive the tour and without them you have no job. So as much as I would like to give Ms. Cho a pass, I just can't! Sorry Irene your still the bomb in my book!

On a lighter note! Karen Stupples has been playing some good first round golf the last few tournaments. It would be nice to see the golfer/mom/wife put together a good solid tournament this week. Anna Rawson is another first round wonder she has been starting strong but fades after the idea of contention hit's her. If you keep your eye on Paula Creamer, Michelle Wie, and Natalie Gulbis you will understand what I've been saying about warning track power. They charge into the top ten on the last day. Never into contention, Just into the top ten! This is how they make their living! Michele Wie has 6 top ten finishes this year but has never been in contention and Paula Creamer has 8 top tens and been in real contention only once and fell apart. Natalie has two top tens and only just snuck into the top ten by shooting lights out on a Sunday. So you people who are waiting for any of these players to win soon, It's going to be awhile I'm afraid.

This Weeks Picks!!!!!!

Being that I hit both picks last week and the fact that the person who is playing the best golf is not playing this week. I had do do a little digging. Runner up is the easiest pick this week. Winner though is a bit tougher, but here you go!

Winner = Morgan Pressel

Runner up = Ai Miyazato

And I am looking for Jeehae Lee to make her long awaited debut in the top twenty

It's in there Jeehae and this course was made for you!

LPGA PERKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you all noticed that LPGA golfers, well for that matter any professional athlete today has the luxury of amazing perks. From meeting great people and getting free tickets to major events to things as simple as goody bags at tour stops. Now don't get me wrong I am not begrudging these perks to the athletes and non of them decided to be a professional athlete because of the perks. Following many of these top female golfers on twitter has opened my eyes to lives the better players on the tour have. One day you have Morgan Pressel at a Detroit Red Wings game showing pics of the people she met and autographed Jerseys to Michelle Wei throwing out the first pitch at a Dodgers Game to First Class Upgrades on airplanes. It really is amazing. When you consider I'm a physician about to start my Surgical Residency and I can't even get free parking at the neighboring hospital!

Pat me on the back

If any of you out there read my post on September 3rd, you will know that I predicted the Pettersen win. I also predicted a Miyazato second place finish. Actually it was probably the easiest week to pick all year. Pettersen is just driven to win not to mention everyone loves her. Ai is there week in and week out.
I will be trying to Monday qualify for the Turning Stone Resort Championship at the end of this month and have been spending almost all my free time on the range The rules have changed and first you have to prequalify to be able to Monday qualify. I don't anticipate this to be a problem but rather a minor inconvenience. Regardless, my game is sound and tight where it needs to be so I'm looking forward to being a factor in this event.

Lorena Ochoa ooooopppsssssss!

Did anyone watch the late night Golf Channel broadcast of the CN Canadian Open last night. If not here is what happened. Lorena Ochoa hit a poor shot into a green and took a step or two and then just pounded her club into the turf three times! Furious at her self. Then they went to a commercial and guess which one it was. It was the GCSAA spot with Lorena saying "LOVE THE GAME RESPECT THE COURSE" it was hilarious! I tevo'ed it and am going to posit it here and on U-tube!!!!!! I mean the timing was perfect. We have all done the same thing but this poor girl can't seem to catch a break lately.

LPGA Interview indocrination!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you follow as much LPGA golf as I do or pretty much any professional golf with the exception of the Men's European Tour, every single player says the exact same thing albeit in several different ways! I have gotten to despise player interviews and I have no doubt that upon coming on to the tour the rookies are indoctrinated on what to say in interviews. Regardless of weather it's true or accurate or even applicable.

Here is what I have noticed!

The course is always the best ever and in great shape

The Volunteers are always amazing

We always love to come here ! it's such a great tournament

I was grinding it out

The crowd's are great

It's for a great cause

Glad to be here

One of my favorite tournaments

everyone has been so great

I understand the need for all this positive publicity but every single player every single week at every single event. I mean somewhere don't you think that it's ok to say that the "the course is a bit rough" or "the greens are not rolling very good" or "traveling here is kind of tough because it's off the beaten path" I know it's not just golf but what I can't understand is why reporters don't ask better question to get different and more interesting answers.

Wouldn't it be refreshing to here a player get up and tell what they really felt rather than the typical line answers they all give. Sergio had a bad day and ripped on the tournament he was playing in and got sooooo much heat it was ridiculous. I thought, finally, someone tells the truth and the tour ostracizes him for it. Which I find a bit ironic, The Golf tours, pride themselves on fairness and the honesty of their players and yet very few if any actually say how they truly feel when being interviewed. SO MY QUESTION TO YOU IS THIS! HAVE WE AS A SOCIETY PROGRESSED OR RETREATED TO THE POINT WHERE POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE TRUTH?

Sunday movers

As any golf fan knows Saturday is known as moving day on the tours. It's when players like to shoot there best rounds to get into contention for Sunday's final round. Well there are several players on the LPGA tour who do their moving on Sunday. It's an interesting phenomenon. Paula Creamer, Natalie Gulbis and Michelle Wei make their money by moving into the top ten on Sunday's. NOT INTO CONTENTION! Just into the top ten. You see the are generally 7-9 shots off the after Saturday and all the pressure is off so they go out and play fantastic rounds on Sunday to get into the top ten and the good money. In baseball we call this "warning track power" meaning, you can hit it pretty well but are never really a threat to do any damage.

The Swing of Christina Kim

Christina Kim, as we all all know is a magnetic and lovable personality who is fiercely honest and positive to a fault. What some of you may not know is that sheis among the very elite of iron players on the LPGA tour. I found it very interesting that her Nick Price like tempo could produce such great shots when she's never quite hits any of the recommended key positions during her swing. There are many players who's swing is better in every position then Kim's! So I had to look deeper and I have come to the conclusion that with her natural and repeatable swing that is quicker through the back swing and much more steep at impact than any one else must be the reason.
My theory is this! There is less time in the Kim swing for errors to occur. Say for instance she leaves the face a bit open through the zone. Well it won't be as open as it would be on a longer slower swing. This makes even her mishit's(my personal term by the way) less of a problem because less of an error has occurred at impact.
Secondly, She really hits down on the ball. She is really steep at impact and this compression of the ball between the ground and the club face makes the ball just shoot off her clubs. If you ever get a chance to watch her hit ball on the range next to another golfer, watch they way the balls fly off Kims club.

Natalie Gulbis

Everyone loves Natalie, Sponsors, media, and fans and I think she is a very gracious and genuine person. She has made millions moving into the top ten on the last day of tournaments. Not into contention mind you but into the top ten. She has a very elongated golf swing which I doubt is sustainable over many more years and a poor short game. The reason for this post is not her game but her clothes I have no idea who her tailor is for her Taylor Made clothes but I can guarantee you they are in love with High School cheerleading. It must be the way Natalie like her clothes to fit because she had her S-cup attire fitting in the very same junior high style.

Little known fact

Jeehae Lee got her tour card this year after finishing high enough at the LPGA Q-School. She is a former Yale golfer and incredibly beautiful and a very nice young lady. She is however a very poor golfer! She bogies 47.5 percent of the holes she plays and seems to not have improved one bit in the two months she had off up prior to the Safe way classic where after day one she was dead last and managed to move up to second to last on day two. Tim Vickers (and her want to be boyfriend) who's associated with Dave Leadbetter say Jeehae is out there everyday just grinding and working hard. Well I have it on very good authority this is not even remotely close to accurate. Nobody with their name on their bag could practice that hard and play that bad.

Canadian Open and LPGA announcments

It's the first morning of the CN Canadian Open. I think you will see the scores a bit higher in the early morning groups simply because it's chilly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My picks this week are :

winner = pettersen
runner up = A. miyazato

I could be off base but I Love the way Pettersen competes and I know how she fell apart down the stretch last week is eating her up

Remember this is a short course playing at a par 71 so it opens the gate up for the great short iron players.

Ok lets examine the LPGA announcements concerning the Jaimie Farr and the Wegmans. I'm happy they will still be tour stops and I realize the LPGA made great sacrifices to have them continue to be tour stops.

That being said the front office of the LPGA must be just chaotic and disorganized! They have never had a better product and despite the economy the tour should be growing some if not, at the very least stable. It's pretty common knowledge that Bivens was just a total idiot to deal with and work for and that hurt but there has to be some blame placed on the Board of Directors for letting her terrorize the the sponsors and the networks.

What they forgot to mention about the Solheim Cup

This is the very first post on what I hope to be a wonderfully insightful and enjoyable not to mention popular blog about the LPGA Tour.

Fresh off the 2009 Solheim Cup I think there are a few things that the media has failed to mention or has overlooked some i believe intentionally.

1, We (the USA) were heavy favorites

2, Morgan Pressel led that team at 21 years old! The fiercest competitor who plays fearless and refuses to lose.
3. Christina Kim, came ready to play she gave the cup a shot in the arm with her personality and most important of all she represented my country with incredible class. Some thought she was too boisterous and loud which I can understand but it was all in fun and when it came time to play she insured the crowd was respectful of her opponent at all times. People, Christina Kim is the most positive ambassador that the LPGA has today. She is a magnet for all that is good in golf and life and the LPGA.
4. Beth Daniel knows way more than I do about these girls and their games. I saw the final days pairings and thought ewww. She was masterful at putting struggling golfers like Natalie Gulbis and Nicole Castrale in spots where she was able to concede a point that would not have implications on the outcome.
5. Michelle Wei can play and she is funny and warm and an enjoyable person.

6. Having her play with Morgan to get a taste of how a real competitor plays the S-Cup was a stroke of genius. She saw her partner go right at their opponents with out fear and beat them and she went out the rest of the event and played like a 6 foot tall Morgan Pressel.
7. Catroina Matthews is the real deal with a Retief Goosen Like personality and a beautiful golf swing. What a joy to watch!
