The LPGA Samsung at the halfway mark!!!!!!

When you have the top twenty players in a tournament with no cut, wouldn't you think they would want it to be a real test of golf. I mean if one of the leaders goes low again today there is a possibility of looking 18-20 under right in the face. Everyone knows these women can play well on easy courses but please don't mislead everyone and say the course is long(6700 yds) and tough when the rough is short and the course is way shorter than your advertising. I mean these are the 20 best women players this season, how about showing us real golf not patty cake golf.

So the Samsung tournament is at the half way point. My Suzann and Angela predictions seem to be way off although there are still two rounds left and if it gets windy anything can happen. I do find it very interesting that the Golf Channel has added about 400 yards to what the actual playing distance is. I assume they do that make it seem like the women are hitting the ball like men. I was speaking with Dave Simmons yesterday who was at the tournament and he was telling me that the course is short but and the par 3 are longish for the LPGA but the pins have been easy. He seems to think 15 under is the number and they had better get to that or close today because there wind will pick up by Sunday and if so scores will be higher.

Everyone likes Paula Creamer (fan wise anyway) and she wears her heart on her sleeve when is is playing. She is defending this week but I'm sure you have all noticed that Paula falls apart in contention this year. She just can play well being at or near the top of the leader board anymore. She can play her way into the top ten every week but she can't play in the lead or a shot or to off the lead. She can get there but only briefly. Just something mental about being in real contention keeps her from closing the door.
