Christina Kim, as we all all know is a magnetic and lovable personality who is fiercely honest and positive to a fault. What some of you may not know is that sheis among the very elite of iron players on the LPGA tour. I found it very interesting that her Nick Price like tempo could produce such great shots when she's never quite hits any of the recommended key positions during her swing. There are many players who's swing is better in every position then Kim's! So I had to look deeper and I have come to the conclusion that with her natural and repeatable swing that is quicker through the back swing and much more steep at impact than any one else must be the reason.
My theory is this! There is less time in the Kim swing for errors to occur. Say for instance she leaves the face a bit open through the zone. Well it won't be as open as it would be on a longer slower swing. This makes even her mishit's(my personal term by the way) less of a problem because less of an error has occurred at impact.
Secondly, She really hits down on the ball. She is really steep at impact and this compression of the ball between the ground and the club face makes the ball just shoot off her clubs. If you ever get a chance to watch her hit ball on the range next to another golfer, watch they way the balls fly off Kims club.
